Our story
For over 140 years, GHN has told a story of style, vision, and connection to the territory.
It all began in 1884, in a small town near Siena, when Alfredo Ghini opened a fabric and haberdashery shop. His dream was to become a tailor, and due to his small stature, he was affectionately called "the little tailor." This is where the name by which the shop became known throughout the Val d'Arbia came from: the little tailor's shop.
From the outset, the shop distinguished itself by its reliability, customer focus, and product quality — values that still represent the core of GHN today.
After World War I, his son Antimo Ghini joined the business, bringing a more modern vision of commerce.
He had a natural talent for understanding people and building genuine relationships with every customer, anticipating a highly contemporary sales concept: truly putting the customer at the center.
In 1954, the first store was opened in Siena, at the historic Logge del Papa, marking the beginning of a new phase of growth for the Ghini family.
In the following years, between the 1980s and 1990s, the brand continued to expand with new openings in the city, becoming a benchmark in the Sienese fashion scene.
With the arrival of the fourth generation, GHN continues to evolve: new spaces, more contemporary concepts, constant search for the most desired brands, and an increasingly future-oriented vision.
Even during the most challenging times — from market transformation to the digital age and the pandemic years — GHN has continued to reinvent itself without losing its identity.
Today, Riccardo carries on this long family tradition with the same spirit as its origins: combining experience, selection, and passion for fashion, creating an experience capable of evolving with people and their style.
